JNU MSc Entrance Exam 2011 Jawaharlal Nehru University
The Jawaharlal Nehru University established by the Jawaharlal Nehru University Act 1966, (53 of 1966) came into being in 1969. Jawaharlal Nehru University will contain the entrance examination in 2011for admission to the merged Biotechnology Entrance Exam for admission into MSC. Biotechnology, Msc (Agri) and M. Tech in Biotechnology is took by Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi for various participating Universities. The exams will be contained on behalf of 30 participating universities at 79 centers across the nation and one overseas in Kathmandu.
Eligibility:
Candidates must be graduates under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Chemical Engineering Biochemical Engineering, Industrial Biotechnology, Leather Technology, Chemistry/Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Biophysics, Microbial Genetics & Bioinformatics, B.Pharma with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA to be eligible to appear in the entrance exam. However candidates who are appearing in the qualifying entrance exam are also eligible to apply.
Reservation/ Concession:
Reservation 15%, 7V4% and 3% of seats shall be reserved for SC, ST and Physically Challenged (Handicapped) (PH) individuals severally. All the SC/ST and PH candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination are eligible to apply irrespective of their percentage of marks in the qualifying degree examination.
Application form
For getting application form by post, you may send the request only to the Deputy Registrar (CEEB), Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110067; along with a valid bank DD of prescribed amount. The bank draft should be payable to “Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi”. Your request should accompany a self-addressed unstamped envelope of the size of 28×20 cms. Indicating clearly: Request for Application form for: (i) “M.Sc. Biotechnology” OR (ii) “M.Sc. (Agri.)/M.V.Sc. Biotechnology” OR (iii) “M.Tech. Biotechnology”.
Tuition Fee/ Scholarship:
Fee shall be charged from the admitted candidates as per the fee structure of the concerned University. Candidates will be selected for admission is generally eligible for scholarship at the rates prescribed by the Dept. of Biotechnology.

JNU Test Pattern: - The written examination is generally followed by a viva voce in most of the programme of studies.
