K S Hegde Medical Academy
Introduction
The K S Hegde Medical Academy was founded in 1999 by the Nitte teaching Trust (NET). The institute is called later the visionary and founder, late Justice K S Hegde, former Justice of the Supreme Court and former Speaker of the Lok Sabha. The institution is attached to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and is accepted by the Medical Council of India. A 600 bed teaching hospital – Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital with modern diagnostic services and super-specialties in Neurology, Neuro-Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Nephrology and Urology, is attached to the medical college.
