University of Kashmir came out of modest lines immediately after Independence. The university is well known for its quality education in there various courses. The college offered several graduate and post graduation courses. The admissions are started for there various courses. In 1965 the University was reorganized and separated into two parts of equal status the state of Jammu and the other for the state of Kashmir – with a central organization having specific legislative and executive powers relating to planning, coordination, finance, budget, improvement of standards of teaching and examinations and devising of courses of studies.
Admission process
Candidate should have passed with good aggregate marks 45% for post graduation courses and 55% for graduation courses. Candidate also has to give an entrance test to taking an admission in university. Admission is based on merit list.
