Introduction
KIIT School of Biotechnology (KSBT) was founded in 2007 as a component of KIIT University to be the beginning institute in the state to have incorporated academic and research programmes.With its foundation stone placed by Prof. Richard R. Ernst (Nobel Laureate in the area of NMR, 1991) and institute introduced by Prof. Hans Hengartner (Professor in immunology, University of Zurich, Switzerland) and Prof. Rolf Zinkernagel (Nobel Laureate in the area of immunology, 1996) KSBT heralds a new epoch of science with a liberal vision in state of Orissa.

Placement
Towards the finish of masters third semester KSBT provides its students to a compass of founded and forthcoming companies functional at the interface of research and growth. On campus and off campus interviews are carried for selection of students by respective companies on the criteria adjust by them.
Various Biotech Company, pharmaceutical companies, bioinformatics firms, bioprocess corporations, scientific marketing, concept marketing, clinical research etc are some of the areas where students are chose according to their interest and powers. Students are regularly informed of any on or off campus interview by email so that students can volitionally apply for wanted jobs.
