Kurukshetra University was established in 1956. The university was started from the Sanskrit department. University is located in Kurukshetra where the battle of Mahabharata will be done. The main motive of university is to be widely acknowledged as a distinguished seat of higher learning. University offered various courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce and in other department.
