Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) was comprised on July 12, 1999, to carry out the Railway work of Mumbai Urban Transport Project. The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited (MRVC) will accomplish the projects so far identified and will also be regarded in the planning and development of Mumbai Suburban Rail system.
The requirement of funds for the full project including resettlement and rehabilitation will be allowed as given-
Borrowings to be decided with common consent of Government of Maharashtra and Indian Railways.
Surcharge to be levied on commuters from a date to be mutually agreed upon among Government of Maharashtra and Indian Railways.
Budgetary defend from Government of Maharashtra and Indian Railways.
Revenue from commercial development of Railway land airspace.
MRVC Vigilance
Vigilance Department, Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation conducts with all vigilance matters pertaining to the Corporation. The Chief Vigilance Officer heads this Unit. The Vigilance Department of MRVC works in close coordination with the Vigilance Department of the Ministry of Railways and the Central Vigilance Commission. The roles of vigilance in MRVC are to behavior preventive checks and to investigate the complaints from several sources.
Complaints
Complaint on vigilance matters related MRVC can be made by anyone as this forms the main origin of Information related to corruption. The points of the complaint should be specific and verifiable.
MRVC invites bid for MSDAC
Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation has found bids for System Design, furnish, Installation, Testing & Commissioning of Multi department Digital Axle Counter (MSDAC) System in Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus Mumbai – Thane Department, Kalyan & Ravli Junction yard of Mumbai part on Central Railway and Jogeshwari yard of Mumbai Part on Western Railway.
