The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, called after Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, the former ruler of Baroda, is one of the prime universities of India situated in the city of Vadodara, (Baroda) in Gujarat state. Primitively recognized as the Baroda College of Science (launched 1881), it got a university in 1949 after the independence of the country. It is popularly cognized as M.S.University (MSU).The M.S. University is a esteemed University in western India with banging intensity of the 35,000 students, 1200 teachers covering 16 faculties and more than ninety departments/institutions and 1,900 administrative staffs. It is the only university in Gujarat whose medium of instruction is English for all its courses.
