NCERT 2011 Entrance Exam National Council of Educational Research and Training National Talent Search
National Talent Search Scheme is a flagship activity of the NCERT commenced in the year 1963. The role of the scheme was to name talented students and raise their talent. Talent refers to the potentiality that manifests itself in a high level of performance in one or more specified fields. The NCERT will carry on the National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class VIII only.

Eligibility
The Students of Class VIII studying in greeted schools are entitled to appear for the respective Class VIII Stage I examination carried on by the States/ UTs in which the schools are located. There will be no domicile restriction.

Examination Pattern
Level I – Two parts (State/UT)
Mental Ability Test (MAT)
Scholastic Ability Test (SAT)

Level II – Two parts (National level)
Mental Ability Test (MAT)
Scholastic Ability Test (SAT)
Interview

Important Dates Tentative
Last date of submission of application forms – 30th August, 2010
Date of Examination (Level – I) – 7th/8th November, 2010
Date of Examination (Level – II) – 9th May, 2011

Results
NTSE Results of the Level -I examination will be announced by the respective State Governments/ Union Territories. Results of Level -II examination will be announced by NCERT.
