The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur is considered as one of the pioneer institutes of India that imparts noesis of engineering, management and applied skill. The Institute was established in the year 1960, underneath an Act of Indian fan-tan. As of now, NIT Durgarpur has been elevated to the level a center of excellence, like that of IITs. Once experienced as the Regional Engineering College, Durgapur, the institute was accorded the status of Deemed University and was renamed as NIT Durgapur in 2002. Ever since its validation, NIT Durgapur has made its place in the list of those reconvict institutes maitained by the UGC.

Admission in NIT Durgapur:
Undergraduate Level: Since completion of their 10+2 degree examination, aspirants have to sit for AIEEE, a national level trance for NITs and other engineering colleges in India. After passing in this examination, the student can get admission in this institute on the basis of advising.
Post Graduate Level: In Holy Order to look at admission at the post graduate level, the aspirant has to modify the GATE examination, brought in by IITs.

i can get 22 marks in sc wich nit college i would expected
