NPTI Entrance Exam 2011 National Power Training Institute

National Power Training Institute (Southern Region) takes an admission procedure for admission to its 1 year Graduate Engineers Course (Thermal). The institute is situated in Nevyeli which is in Tamil Nadu. NPTI (SR) is one of the 9 institutes under National Training Power institute which function on aids by Ministry of power, Government of India. The programme is intended to train the engineers to work in Thermal Power field. There are a total of 50 seats in the programme out of which 25% seats are reserved for candidates supported by power utilities and who more than on year experience. The institute has tie-up with power utilities to render placement assistance to students.
National Power Training Institute is inviting application for upcoming session 2011-2012, all the related details are given below:-

Courses offered: One year Post Graduate Diploma course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate should have done B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering. Also a candidate should not be more than 30 years of age as on end of December, 2010.

Application Forms:
Candidates have to send the application form according to the format given in the admission notification which will be available in contributing newspapers and the NPTI (SR)’s website www.nptisr.com. Candidates have to send the filled application form along with a demand draft of the specified amount.

Selection procedure:
Selection of the candidate will be based on the personal Interview and written test of the candidate. The candidate selection is also based on the rules and regulation of the National Power Training Institute (NPTI).

NTPI Entrance Exam Centres: Faridabad, New delhi, Nagpur, Durgapur, Bangalore, Guwahati, Punjab and Neyvell

Important Dates (Tentative):
Last Date for receipt of completed application forms: December 3rd week, 2010
Start of Course: January 4th week, 2011
