NISCAIR AIS 2011 National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources
NISCAIR is inviting applications are for admission to the 2011-2013 batch of the Associate ship in Information Science (AIS) course commencing on first week of September, 2011. The extremely reputed 2-year AIS course took by NISCAIR is equivalent to Master’s degree in Library & Information Science and is accredited by Government of India and many Universities.
Eligibility: Applicant must have minimum of 50% of aggregate marks in Master’s degree; or 4-year plus degree like B.E./M.B.B.S. or Bachelor’s degree plus B Lib.Sc. plus one year of relevant experience after B.Lib.se.
Scholarships: Provision for scholarship to non-sponsored meritorious students @ Rs. 2000/- per month for a period of 9 months exists.
How To Apply : The application form may be got from ‘Head, Education & Training Division (ETD), NISCAIR, S.V. Marg, New Delhi-110067′ from Mid of May, 2011 onwards personally or by sending a self-addressed envelope (25cm x 20cm size) affixing Rs. 25/- postage stamps and enclosing a DD for prescribed amount in favour of NISCAIR, payable at New Delhi. Selection: 25 candidates will be selected based on Admission Test (End of June, 2011) and Interview (Last week of July, 2011).
Test Centre: New Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore
Interview Centre: NISCAIR, New Delhi (Outstation candidates selected for interview will be paid II class sleeper return rail fare or equivalent as per shortest route)
