NISER NEST 2011 National Institute of Science Education and Research Entrance Examination
The first academic program of NISER was improvement by the Chief Minister of Orissa – Sri Naveen Pattnaik on 10th September 2007 at the IOP campus. NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) is an entrance exam carried on for admission to 5 year M.Sc. incorporated programs in biological, chemical, mathematical and physical sciences at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai.
Eligibility
The candidates should have passed or be appearing for 10+2 examination with at least 60% aggregate marks or equivalent (55% for SC/ST/PD).
Exam Pattern
NEST Exam – 3 hours
Sections – 5
Sections I – General Questions (Compulsory)
Sections II, III, IV – Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics Questions
Questions – Multiple Choice Questions with 4 options
Marking – Negative Marking for Wrong Answers
Syllabus – 12th syllabus of CBSE
How to Apply
The Candidates can apply online by the official website. The Candidates After applying online candidates have to take a print out of the filled form and send it on with DD to NISER.
Selection Process
The candidate Selection is based on entrance test and personal interview.
