Calicut Regional Engineering College (CREC), now famous as National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) was came in to being in September 1961, in a beautiful landscape at the foothills of the Western Ghats, approximately 22 kilometers north-east of Calicut City. Ninth of its form and the beginning one to be launched on the Third Five Year Plan period was accorded the regarded University position in June 2002.

NIT Calicut Admission Procedure
Admission to the undergraduate programs is based on the rank got in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination [AIEEE] carried by the Central Board of Secondary teaching (C B S E) New Delhi.
NIT Calicut Eligibility
The lower limit academic qualification for admission by AIEEE is a clear in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equal referred to as the qualifying examination.
The number of chance which the student can avail at All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination is 3(three) uniformly for the entire student in consecutive years.
