National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna is the eighteenth NIT to come into universe. The beginning of NIT Patna can be traced to 1886 when the Survey Training School was constituted. In 1900, graduate level curriculum was brought in the institute. The institute was called as Bihar College of Engineering Patna in year 1924. In 2004, the college was upgraded to the position of National Institute of Technology. NIT Patna is soon to be given the position of Deemed University. NIT Patna has been declared as an Institute of National Importance by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD).
Placement
