North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) was launched by an Act of parliament on 26th May 1973 with its head quarter at Shillong cover north east states and Union districts.
NEHU has 28 sections with 4 centers of subjects under its 6 schools. NEHU has a Central Library which vaunts of a huge collection of books on several subjects. Currently there are 65 under graduate colleges associated under this university with 8 professional courses. The North Eastern Hill University has issued as a fantabulous academic institution for higher education among a short period of about 30 years with its clear and dignified mission and vision.
