North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology
NERIST (North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology), situated at Nirjuli, Itanagar in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, was launched by the Government of India as a prime technical institute for science and technology, and opened up to students in 1986.It was built for the growing of technical man power in the North East. NERIST is financed and operated by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. NERIST was the first institute within India to introduce an advanced curriculum. NERIST provides undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate degrees for the following six branches of engineering and applied sciences.
