Situated in Chennai, the capital City of Tamil Nadu, Omayal Achi College of Nursing is one of the esteemed nursing colleges of the state. The college began its first academic session in 1992, with the aim of developing well-qualified nurses, who can serve the humanity. Eligibility
Undergraduate:
B.Sc (Nursing)
The aspirants ought to have cleared senior secondary examination with at least 55% marks in English and each of the science subjects, which includes- physics, chemistry and biology from a board, accepted by Governing Council of Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. Only female students, who have finished lower limit of 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission, are eligible.
B. Sc. (Post Basic) Nursing
Both male and female students, who have successfully finished diploma in General nursing and Midwifery and are recorded with the State Nursing Registration Council, are eligible. In addition, the student should have two years of work experience and he/she should be below 40 years of age as on 1st September 2010.
Post Graduate
M.Sc (Nursing)
The student ought to have successfully finished B.Sc Nursing from Dr. M.G.R. Medical University or from any other University as equal there to. In addition, the applicant should be recorded with the State Nurses and Midwives Council and should have lower limit of 2 years of experience, out of which six months should be in the area of specialization chosen. Male students, who have passed any other course urged by the Indian Nursing Council in place of Midwifery, can also apply.

The students are chose on the base of merit list cooked according to their achievement in written test and interview, carried by the college.
B. Sc. (Post Basic) Nursing
The choice of the student is grounded on his/her performance in the written test followed by an interview carried by the college’s choice committee.
Post Graduate:
M.Sc (Nursing)
The admission of the student looks on marks assured by him/her in the entrance test, which is followed by an interview.
