Panjab University Law Department
The Department of Laws, earlier launched at Lahore in 1889, was re-established at Shimla in 1948, transferred to Jalandhar in 1950 and finally re-located at the University Campus at Chandigarh in 1959. The Department of Laws, Panjab University has been rated 9th in All India Ranking of Law Departments by ‘India Today’. The department has classify and well provided Moot Court Hall where every year several Seminars, Presentations and Moot Court Competition took place. The department of Law of the Punjab University provides two courses in law-one three year degree level course in law (LLB) and the other postgraduate course in law leading to the LLM degree.
