The Directorate of Distance teaching has founded its programmes in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait with centres at Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Kuwait. This step has been taken in order to furnish a platform for those Indians, who have settled in the Gulf, where regular programmes are not available, to pursue their studies.
