Placed amid the beautiful environing of the University of Pune, the broad section of Geology furnishes the services for both teaching and research making. It is one of the best institutions in India. This department was developed from the august portals of Ferguson College in 1955 and was started in 1970 in its own right. Over the years the department has assemblage scholars on the way expanding its range in both academic courses and research activities. The ever-enthusiastic staff member and ever more impressive and up to date acquisition of necessary equipments have built it what it is today.
