The Punjab School Education Board came in to being under an Act of Legislation in 1969, amended in 1987, 2000 and 2005. The scope of Board’s occasions is very wide and covers almost every aspect/stage of school education. The Punjab School Education Board comprises of a Chairman, Vice Chairman and twenty five other members including Educationists, Academicians and Political members.

The Middle Standard Examination will be held at the school level.
Semester System is introduced in class X & XII by the Board to bring about qualitative advance in school education.

This is in continuation with the Semester system introduced at school level in class IX & XI from academic year 2009-10. Continuous and comprehensive examination evaluation is brought in along with Semester system.

Affiliation of Schools:
The Punjab Board has been committed with obligation of granting affiliation to the private schools in the state as per the dictated rules and guidelines. The Board has affiliated approximately 2700 schools till date.

    Respected Sir. I done my +2 in 2008.Sir,my percentage in +2 is 59.7%.i’m doing engineering in GNDU (2nd yr).my problem is that i’m not eligible for campus placement because my percentage in +2 is not enough.minimum percentage required for campus placement is 60%.so, Sir,give me any idea that there is any chance for me to increase my percentage.Sir can i eligible for the additional subjects exams.please guide me Sir. i’m so confused and nervous for my placement.
