Banaras Hindu University is an internationally esteemed temple of learning, located in the holy city of Varanasi. Banaras Hindu University was made under the Parliamentary legislation – B.H.U. Act 1915. It acted a leading role in the independence motion and has produced into the greatest center of learning in India.
The Banaras Hindu University will hold All India Competitive written test PMT for admission to MBBS course (84 seats) in two stages PMT-2010 screening and PMT-2010 main.
Eligibility
The candidates must have passed 10+2 examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized board.
Age limit:
The candidate must have Completed 17 years but not crossed 25 years as on 31st December, 2010.
Important dates
Sale of application form start on Monday – 04.01.2010 from Bank of Baroda branches
Last date for sale of application form – Monday, 01.03.2010
Last date of requisition for PMT form by post is Friday, the 19th February 2010.
PMT-2010 screening shall be held on Wednesday, the 12th May 2010
PMT-2010 main examination for MBBS course which will be held on Sunday, the 13th June 2010 at Varanasi centre only.
How to apply
The candidates can get application form on payment of Rs. 1100/- (Rs. 700/- for SC/ST candidates) from the various branches of Bank of Baroda and also get from the official website of Banaras Hindu university. Application form duly completed must be sent through registered post so as to reach The Director (PMT cell), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005 latest by Tuesday, the 09th March 2010 till 05.00 p.m. Application forms received after the last date shall not be accepted.
