The Bird Group of Companies (BGC), under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel, Indian Govt. was part of formerly Bird & Company Ltd, which was nationalised through the Indian Govt. through virtue of The Bird & Company Ltd Act, 1980 ( Act No. 67 of 1980). BGC consists of the following 3 Companies: The Orissa Minerals Development Company Limited (OMDC), The Bisra Stone Lime Company Limited (BSLC) and Eastern Investments Limited (EIL).
In the year of 1927 EIL is an investment company & was integrated. In the year of 1918 the OMDC was integrated. In the year of 1910 the BSLC was integrated. It located at Kolkatta city in west Bengal state in India.
