The CBRI Roorkee (Central Building Research Institute Roorkee) was founded in the year of 1947. The institute has been vested with the duty of generating, cultivating and encouraging building science and technology in the service of India. It is located at Roorkee in Uttarakhand state in India. Central Building Research Institute Roorkee is function as world best knowledge base for offering solutions to almost whole field of Building / Habitat planning and construction containing building materials, construction technology, fire engineering and disaster mitigation construction.
