CIHTS Sarnath initially worked as an especial constituent wing of Sampurnananda Sanskrit University, Varanasi. It located at Sarnath in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh state in India. CIHTS recognised with 5 Stars through a peer team of specialists sent through NAAC. A faculty at CIHTS is Faculty of Language and Literature, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Social Science, Faculty of Tibetan Medicine and Astrology, Faculty of Tibetan fine Arts.
