Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants is launched in 1959. CIMAP is pursued in the arena of science and business of medicinal and aromatic plants. CIMAP is consecrated to introduce and empower science and business of medicinal and aromatic plants for facultative India as the quality in green technologies and herbals for life par excellence. The institute has several departments for genetic resources and cytogenetics, bioinformatics, genetics and plant breeding, chemistry, tissue culture, agronomy, biotechnology, biochemistry, and chemical engineering.
Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) is a multi corrective multi locational R & D institute committed to the cause of medicinal and aromatic plant research, cultivation and business. CIMAP with organic cultivation as one of its recess fields of research has not only formulated environmental favorable technologies but as well has established in its possess farm and in the farmer’s field.
