The mission of Centre for Distance Learning OAU (Obafemi Awolowo University) is to make and transmit knowledge through excellence distance learning platforms that meet diverse local, domestic, and world demands. The Distance Learning Programme utilizes a multimedia technology that endorses electronic instructional delivery way (e-learning), as well as autonomous learning or correspondence. Today, the Obafemi Awolowo University presently has the biggest campus-broad network in Nigeria, which facilities over 23,000 scholars and 5,000 staff members. The Unit is currently armed with min. access of web at 1 Mgps/1.5 Mgps up satelite linkage and local field network within the campus and study centers.
Centre for Distance Learning OAU offers various programmes like Diploma in Physical and Health education, Diploma in Music, Diploma in Fine Art, Diploma in Dramatic Art, Diploma in Yoruba Studies, Diploma in Conservation Science and Tourism, Professional Diploma in Oral Health Care, Diploma in Treasury Management and Diploma and Advance Diploma in Management (in Collaboration with CIRD).
