Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University popularly known as HAU is one of Asia’s largest agricultural universities, located at Hisar in the Indian state of Haryana. It is mentioned after India’s 7th Prime Minister, Choudhary Charan Singh. It is contributes in agricultural research in India and led significantly to Green Revolution and White Revolution in India in the 1960s and 1970s. It has a very large campus and has various research centers all around the state.
It won the Indian Council of Agricultural Research’s honor for the Best Institute in 1997. University is located in Hisar, one of the significant and aggressive towns of modernistic Haryana. In past time Hisar was the centre of “Harrapan Culture”. Hisar is deduced from Arabic word means “FORT”. The Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University conducts the entrance examination for admission to BVSc & AH, BSc Honors Agriculture, MSc (FST/BMB/Bio Informatics) in its campus.
