CIFRI India

The CIFRI (Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute) is the older prime research institute in the area of inland fisheries research and training in the country. Founded initially as Central Inland Fisheries Research Station through the Indian Government at Kolkata in the year 1947, it accepted the status of an institute and replaced to Barrackpore in the year 1959.
