Cotton Corporation of India Limited at Ahmedabad was founded on 31st July 1970 as a Government Company registered below the Companies Act 1956. CCI officials are present in such markets from the day one of the arrivers till the like continues. Cotton Corporation of India bought 28.25 lakh quintal cotton at minimum support cost by December 15. In view of the fall in kapas price under MSP level, CCI had begun its operation in all major cotton developing states. Now, CCI is working in all cotton growing States over 262 procurement centres under the control of respective Branch Office in each State. CCI purchases raw cotton directly from the cotton farmers by the aegis of Agricultural Produce Market Committees conducted auctions in the APMC thousands.
