The National Association of Funeral Directors started the Diploma in Funeral Directing (DIPFD) in 1959 to facilitate maintain the highest standards during the funeral profession and it is at present universally acknowledged as the ‘Gold Standard’. The Diploma in Funeral Directing conducts with theory and practice. Diploma in Funeral Directing course is based on the Manual of Funeral Directing and the curriculum reflects best practice in funeral service. Diploma in Funeral Directing qualification allows skills and knowledge relating to the law and philosophy of funeral directing; arranging, organizing and directing a funeral; organizing post funeral activities; communicating and supporting bereaved families and mentioning them to support services; preparing a casket for regarding and burial or cremation; and text processing, computing skills, interpersonal communications.
