In the year of 1979 the Annamalai University Directorate of Distance Education founded. Distance Learning Annamalai University provides 400 and one various programmes of study under the full-time Stream. Whole the programmes of study provided through the Directorate of Distance Education have the sanctioned by the Distance Education Council, New Delhi. it located at Annamalai Nagar in Tamil Nadu state in India.
It is starting B.Ed. Programme by distance education mode from the year 2008-09 with the sanctioned by National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi.
Distance Learning Annamalai University offers Fashion Design, Textile Design, Interior Design, Hotel Management and Catering Technology Programmes, Commonwealth Youth Programme, Yoga, Music, Fire and Safety, Pharmaceutical, Retail Management, Twinning Programme, Programmes on Health Science and Taxation Programmes.
