European Association for Distance Learning

The European Association for Distance Learning (EADL), erstwhile the Association of European Correspondence Schools, is an international administration comprising of schools, institutions and individuals functioning in the area of distance education, organized for the exchange of information and thoughts on distance education. Members are situated in above twenty European countries, letting in most of the members of the European Community, plus Iceland, Norway, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey.

The Association is a representative forum for the exchange of consideration and thoughts on present-day practice and growths in the elaborating area of distance learning. Nearly all member states of the European Community are constituted in the EADL. But the EADL has also members in Norway, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey. With 5,000 different courses the members of the EADL work with more than 2.5 million students all over Europe.
