The Fakir Mohan University, Vyasa Vihar, Balasore was launched by the Government of Orissa, under Section 32 of the Orissa Universities Act, 1989 (Act 5 of 1989) and it was apprised vide the Government’s Notification No. 973 dated 3rd July, 1999.All the P.G. Departments of the University are computer based. In reality, it gets the biggest University from the point of view of the numeric intensity of colleges and students in India.It have also been recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Centre of Distance and Continuing Education under Fakir Mohan University is founded with the mission to reach out to more and more people and help them in their enterprise to study encourage and taking education to the threshold of the people by taking all barriers of learning without conciliatory the quality of education.
