Goa University Academic Staff College was instituted in 1985. The Goa University Academic Staff orientation course Scheme is an outcome of the NPE (1986). The NPE, in its curriculum of action, makes a pointed reference to the crucial link between teacher motivation and quality of education. The master’s programme in Biotechnology. The functions of an Academic Staff College will be to plan, organize, implement, monitor and evaluate orientation courses for new constituted College/ University lecturers amongst the jurisdiction of one or more Universities in a state. The Academic Staff College has the following facilities: Five independent rooms for Reader, lecturer, Director, Xerox facility Non-teaching staff, and store-room. The Goa University Academic Staff College has been able to acquire infrastructural facilities which are essential for staff development programmes. Goa University has well equipped office with computerized communication.
