In the year 1964 the Government College of Engineering Amravati was founded through Maharastra Govt. The College was initially associated to Nagpur University which later on moved to Amravati University in the year of 1982. It located at Amravati in Maharastra state in India. It is accredited research center for Doctor of Philosophy Programs of Amravati University.

Government College of Engineering Amravati offers discipline is Applied Mechanics,
Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Mathematics, Workshop, Metallurgy. The several services available within the college campus are: Digital library, Gymnasium indoor/outdoor stadiums, Students’ canteen, Boys’ & girls’ common room, Health center,
Electric generator (5kv, 5-10 KV, 10-15 KV, more than 20 KV), 2 Mbit/s connectivity within all departments, hostels & residence, Well experienced faculty.
