In the year of 1999 the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Delhi founded through Government of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998. The university has been recognised “A Grade” through NAAC during Feb – March 2007. It located at Delhi in India. It has been granted the ISO 9001:2000 Certification. University Grants Commission (UGC) is accredited the University, India under section 12B of UGC Act.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Delhi offers several degrees like: B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc. (Environment Management), MBA, BMC, B.Sc.(MLT), B.Sc.(Hons) Nursing, BJ(MC), BASLP, BRT, M.Sc.(Forensic Science), M.Sc. (Ciminology), B.Arch., BCA, BBA, B.Pharma, BPT, MPT, BHMCT, B.Ed., LLB, LLM, MAHM, MCPHM, MHRPD, BHMS, MBBS and Ph.D etc. The admissions to these programmes are done yearly by CET (Common Entrance Test).
