About The Gvmc
Greater Visakha has at last come. The areas of the erstwhile Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation along with the Gajuwaka Municipality and 32 villages (includes few Panchayats) that will now be governed under Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation (GVMC). GVMC came into being later the Government of Andhra Pradesh published the Government Order (GO) on November 21, 2005. The High Court has earlier dismissed some cases against the merger of some villages into the Greater Visakha. A subsequent notification has put the total number of wards in the region to 72.

GVMC terminates contract for parking fee
VISAKHAPATNAM: The GVMC has finished the contract with a individual agency for collection of pre-paid parking fee in the city. Municipal Commissioner V.N. Vishnu said notices had been issued asking the agency not to collect the fee.

Why GVMC not giving permission for building plan approval more than two floors in Vadlapudi RH Colony. So many building was constructed more than two floors in our locality. But GVMC has not giving permission for plan approval more than second floor for new houses. If you have arrange to give permission previously which is helpful to the house owners and revenue will generated to GVMC for plan approval of new buildings in Vadlapudi RH Colony.

I am staying in single bed room flat at ram nagar It’s plinth area total 500sft . earlier I am paying 719Rs for half yearly. Due to recent property tax hike it was raised to 3254Rs. Pls justify. I am giving my details: K N bhavani., House No; 10-5-11/19 Ramsen Apt. flat No: 405. My ward no; 24; Property tax assessment No: 41000/2068. Old tax for half yearly: 719Rs whereas new tax imposed is ; 3254Rs. It’s totally abruptly hike the tax. For single bed apt half yearly paying 3254 Rs is correct. please revaluate & do justice. Sir,
I am the owner of a two bed room flat in CBM compound, and live in it . i belong to a middle class family with nominal income and have five members to look after , and also egucate my children. The recent hike in property tax has come as a big blow to my meagre resources. Kindly relook into the matter and reduce the tax to enable the common man to exist in the city..

I have a site(267 sq yards) at Madhurvada in a resdential colony opp. to stadium purchased more than 10 years back.
If I have to open site tax on that from which date I have to pay (i.e. is it the date on which Madhurwada came under GVMC ) . and Approximately how much per annum. and what is the procedure.

helloo GVMC,
i am glad to find you on net… these days the canals of the drinage water are getting more worsen can u please take a regular clean up at the drinage canals at old CBI down, the canal at street of yeruka mamba temple, the canal beside the raymounds shop at jagadhamba they so worsen… i hope u clean up them soon.. thank u
