Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) is situated at Haldia, West Bengal, India. It is a semi-independent engineering college. The college was launched in 1996, with 90 students and three departments, by ICARE. The college began within the Haldia Municipality building. It is a residential engineering college, with facilities including a bank, post office, medical unit, central library, restaurants, play grounds and gymnasium.
