Humanities And Social Sciences Library has some of the best collections in North America for history, literature and, German language Ibero-American studies, and and literature South Asian languages. Other exceptional collections include those concerned to the study of Scandinavian studies Shakespeare, French literature, and Italian linguistics. Memorial is the principal research library on campus for the humanities and social sciences. Housing over 3000000 books on 75 miles of shelving, throughout 13 stack levels, it is the largest single collection in Wisconsin. The collection includes volumes, government documents, dissertations, newspapers, journals electronic resources, and other media chose to meet the requires of the UW-Madison education, learning, and research communities.
