On 29/07/1876, the IACS Kolkata (Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science Kolkata) was launched an independent Institute through Dr Mahendra Lal Sircar. The institute is located at Kolkata city in West Bengal state in India. The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science Kolkata is committed to the pursuit of fundamental research in the frontier fields of Chemistry, Biology, Energy, Physics, Polymer and Materials.
