The ICFAI University, Dehradun, was founded under the ICFAI University Act 2003 that was passed by the Uttaranchal Legislative Assembly on July 08, 2003. Supported by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India, ICFAI University, Dehradun – a non-benefit educational society, founded in 1984. It was the objective of the Institute to give education and training in finance and management to students as well as for the working executives and professionals in India. ICFAI University is admitted in the list of universities maintained by the University Grants Commission. However courses carried on within the University campus are not aided by the Grants Commission.
