Illinois’ graduation rate ranks first amongst players who have came along in the Final Four from 1991-2007, consorting to a report in the Indianapolis Star. The Star found that 60 percent of participants in the Final Four had a degree from the school they played for, somewhat lower than the rate for all college students. Illinois State University’s graduation rate has hit 70 percent according to newly-published data from U.S. News and World Report. The mobility rate has also preserved to decline. In 1996 it stood at 18.8 percent and for 2005 it has fallen to 16.1 percent.

For Illinois State to attain a 70 percent graduation rate is a testament to the quality and hard work of our faculty and support staff members. The national graduation rate for the public school class of 2000 was 69 percent.
