The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is the nation’s prime national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension. It has assisted the cause of science and society with distinction by first rate research, generation of appropriate technologies and development of human resources. In fact, the Green Revolution was born in the areas of IARI.
Besides basic research, applied and consumer goods research derived important grandness resulting in the growth of various popular high conceding varieties of almost all major crops and their related management technologies, which contributed about an unprecedented increase in the national food and agricultural production. In fact, the Green Revolution was contained in the arenas of IARI.
