A competitive examination for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service (IFS) will be contained through the Union Public Service Commission commencing on the 10/07/2010. The IFS is the forestry service of the country. It is one of the 3 All India Services of the govt. of India its employees are recruited through the domestic govt. but serve below the state govt. or Central Govt. along with the Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service.
