Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is set up in 1963. Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is one of the 7 Institutes of Technology produced as centres of quality for higher training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India. Indian Institute of Technology Delhi was then granted the status of a deemed university with powers to decide its own academic policy, to lead its own examinations, and to grant its own degrees. The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi teaching, training and research activities of several departments at the Institute are constantly under review to improve both facilities and standard.
