The Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT) was founded in 1967 on the joint first step of the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU) and the then Ministry of sending and Transport, Government of India. CIRT extends management improvement programs assuring general management, transport procedures and maintenance engineering. The Institute is an active part of the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) and the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA).
