The Jamia Millia Islamia University is one of the most esteemed Universities in India. Centre for Distance and Open Learning (C.D.O.L.), Jamia Millia Islamia was established in 2002 with the aim to join the Distance Learning System in catering chances for more prominent teaching to those who differently are not able to draw gains from the conventional system. Thus in the tradition of Open Learning, Jamia University Centre for Distance and Open Learning offers considerable flexibility in qualification, place, pace and duration of study to students. Currently the Centre for Distance and Open Learning provides two programmes: B.Ed. (Distance Mode) and Diploma in Power Generation Engineering. Jamia Hamdard has placement cell to help students of professionals programs, viz, computers, Pharmacy, management etc. in finding jobs.
