School of Computer and Systems Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) was founded in the year of 1974. This School has been trying to meet the computing needs of various Schools in JNU and providing specially planned courses for their scholars.
The School of Computer and System Sciences offers different curricula in MCA (6semesters). These courses are planned to offer the necessary theoretical background and practical experience in Computer Science and Applications, to meet the developing manpower requirements of the World Software Industry. On an average 30 scholars for M.C.A. are chose. These scholars are chose from about 12,000 appliers appearing for the Entrance exam. This makes the success rate of getting by as tough as I in all 400 appliers.
The courses in the School are well planned to offer a large spectrum of selections to the scholars. The faculty and the scholars interests add a large field of Computer’s Database Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Networks & Distributed Computining:, Numerical Analysis, Computer Graphics, Mathematical Modeling, Statistical Methods, Optimization Techniques (Operational Research),OOPS, Advanced DBMS (OODBMS, Distributed DBMS etc.), Software Engineering etc.
Scholars are admitted to the MCA curriculum each year on the basis of their performance in the written exam directed through the University.
Eligibility for Jawaharlal Nehru University MCA course
Examinee must have a graduate degree of min 3 years from a esteemed Institute with at least 55 % total marks in Graduation as well as adequate competency in Mathematics at Graduation or at +2 level.
