About JEST 2010 Exam
A number of esteemed institutes in india have come together to direct a Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) for entering of students in Ph.D. / Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. programs in Physics (including several inter-disciplinary research fields in physics) and Theoretical Computer Science. JEST is directed for selecting students to be interviewed for admission to Ph. D. Programmes in Physics/ Theoretical Computer Science in these institutions in India. Applications are invited from motivated students, with systematically good academic record, for appearing in JEST conducting to registration in a Ph. D. Programme in Physics (including several inter-disciplinary research areas in Physics)/ Theoretical Computer Science, at any of the 20 prime participating institutions. JEST score forms a key element in the selection of student for the Ph.D. programmes in these institutions.
